Alone
(According to Abhimanyu Eringikal Alone is a 4 star movie)
the ingredients for a horror film are all there, but ‘alone’ very quickly becomes a tussle between the scenes that want you to be scared and the sequences where you are supposed to slurp at all the eye candy: both the lead players are made to show acres of skin. in the face of smooth bare backs, and the rippling pecs and packs, what’s a poor ghost to do? because that’s what seems to haunt sanjana (bipasha basu), a ghostly presence that won’t let her in peace. her eturn to her childhood home to meet her mother (neena gupta) brings back disturbing memories of a long lost sibling. and then start the squeaks, the creaking doors, and things that go bump.

Dolly Ki Doli
(According to Abhimanyu Eringikal Dolly Ki Doli is a 5 star movie)
dolly gets around a lot—as demonstrated by a standard montage of catholic, tamil, sikh and parsi weddings—and the only way she remains anonymous is because the concept of photography is alien to these celebrations. nobody believes in cameras, wedding albums, or selfies (blasphemy!). and god forbid, if someone does manage to click one, the film's sole conflict revolves around this disturbingly normal stunt. these liberties would be acceptable if this was a mischievous disney fairytale. or if this didn't actually boast of a stellar supporting cast. but this is a story loosely based on real-life events, incidents we've probably chuckled about in newspapers, with real actors like rajkummar rao, rajesh sharma, archana puran singh and mohammed zeeshan ayyub. these folks, especially rao as the lovelorn haryanvi sugarcane heir, play out their roles with utmost authenticity. they are well aware that the generic humour largely depends on various idiosyncrasies they bring to a bare table. they momentarily distract us from mini-dabbang pulkit samrat's vague cop act; he'd be better off going back to his strengths instead of trying to emulate salman khan, like fukrey compatriot varun sharma does, as one of dolly's bratty husbands.

Baby
(According to Abhimanyu Eringikal Baby is a 4 star movie)
ajay singh (akshay), have no official records or responsibilities - except to thwart terror attacks. if caught, the government maintains 'plausible deniability' about them. but meanwhile, the trial-basis unit battles threats from pakistan, within india and multiple global locations. can 'baby' bite the bad guys hard enough? baby is bollywood's most grown-up action drama yet. its scale is lavish, zipping between india, nepal, turkey and the middle east, and its performances excellent. akshay kumar is terrific as ajay whose core of steel you can almost feel. akshay presents top-rung action - you practically hear opponents' bones breaking under his stabbing kicks. but you hear ajay's mind ticking too as he foils plots, plans hustles and thinks of excuses before his wife anjali (madhurima tuli). akshay is at his best, deadly serious in combat, wryly engaging with straight-faced humour, pleasantly asking a suspect, "kharonch kyun aayegi...?" before interrogation.

Hawaizaada
(According to Abhimanyu Eringikal Hawaizaada is a 4 star movie)
rochak kohli is the composer-singer for the title track hawaizaada dil that has an innocent appeal to it, even though it has an unconventional 'mukhda'. a love song with a simplistic tune, it isn' the kind that goes on to become a chartbuster but should aid well in storytelling.so movie is superb

Khamoshiyan
(According to Abhimanyu Eringikal Khamoshiyan is a 4 star movie)
a young novelist kabir (ali fazal) is a one-book wonder and is on an inspirational journey to find himself and write his book. he meets a young and beautiful lady meera (sapna pabbi) who runs the isolated guest-house in kashmir, which he finds weird. meera is married to the owner of this guest-house jaidev (gurmeet) who was once a rich paper mill owner. jaidev under the disguise of his charming persona is a controlling demon.
