Suicide Squad
(According to Satyajit Mallick Suicide Squad is a 4 star movie)
suicide squad” is just about as unpleasant as this year’s “batman v superman: dawn of justice,” but for totally different reasons. in following the misadventures of a group of super villains who are forced to work together to defeat a powerful enemy, “suicide squad” is actually trying to be fun, or at least it’s trying to find the mix of daring and cheekiness that made “deadpool” and “guardians of the galaxy” such twisted delights. with a few, rare exceptions, the attempts at humor in “suicide squad” land with a thud—that is, if you can hear such a sound over the deafening din of gunfire and the bombastic score.

Dishoom
(According to Satyajit Mallick Dishoom is a 3 star movie)
dishoom is a silly but fun reworking of the time-tested buddy cop formula. if you don’t ask too many questions – especially in the outrageously illogical second half – you can have a pretty good time. director and co-writer rohit dhawan isn’t aiming for anything more. it’s slick, seductive, disposable entertainment.and the icing on the cake is a laugh-out-loud cameo by akshay kumar in a manbun, who gets our boys to strip to their trunks.

Star Trek Beyond
(According to Satyajit Mallick Star Trek Beyond is a 4 star movie)
if you weren’t a fan of into darkness, the second star trek film directed by j.j. abrams, then maybe you should have faith in number three rather than writing it off. into darkness was famously divisive among star trek fans, and that may be part of the reason why abrams decided to hand off the directing reins (that and duties to star wars) to justin lin. pegg said in a recent interview with den of geek that he too had issues with into darkness and he’s learned a lot from what he perceives to be that movie’s mistakes in drafting the new script. “we learned a lot. it’s interesting actually, i had certain issues with into darkness as well. it’s interesting to be able to take those forward and be at the helm a little bit. you’re always learning when you’re working with a series of movies because you go okay, what did people like there? what did people not like? what did we like?” he told the publication. if you’re a fan that didn’t care for into darkness, pegg’s comments suggest maybe you should give the third film a chance instead of dismissing the new franchise.

Junooniyat
(According to Satyajit Mallick Junooniyat is a 4 star movie)
that is how original junooniyat is. it resorts to fluffy poetry and screechy songs to heighten the intensity of the love between an army captain and a college girl. the result in terms of dramatic traction is zilch. the lovebirds, on their part, yo-yo between overwhelming passion and outright inanity as they struggle to get their lives in order. in one scene, the unwanted suitor who wings in from canada (gulshan devaiah in a special appearance although there is little that is special in the half-baked character) is on a ferris wheel with the girl he is supposed to wed. we will go up and we will come down but all will be fine, he assures his would-be wife. had the subject been junooniyat , he would most definitely have left out the bit about going up and being fine. the only direction that this film travels in is down. here is how and why. amritsar girl suhani kapoor (yami gautam) slinks away from a christmas camp in the himalayas and goes for a swim in a hot sulphur lake. she loses her bearings for no apparent reason. army captain jahan bakshi (pulkit samrat) stationed in sonmarg comes to her rescue even though the lass seems to be perfectly hale and hearty when help arrives.

Udta Punjab
(According to Satyajit Mallick Udta Punjab is a 4 star movie)
the film is hard-hitting and uncomfortable to watch, and mixes dark humor to a tale about the dirty drug and political nexus in punjab. it becomes evident early on that the story and the characters are rooted in reality: there’s the politician who runs an anti-drug campaign yet is a secret manufacturer and supplier; the cops who turn the other way for a price; junkies who will give anything for another fix; and the coked-out rockstar who makes drugs sound sexy to millions of hooked youngsters. for once, our cinema reflects these ugly truths.

Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.
(According to Satyajit Mallick Do Lafzon Ki Kahani. is a 3 star movie)
romantic drama is one of the most popular genres when it comes to cinema goers. their basic expectations from a love story include, a good chemistry, a palatable love angle and great music to complement the setting. unfortunately, even after adapting do lafzon ki kahani from the korean film, always, the writers fail to make it watchable. throwing literally every bollywood cliche there is, the film puts you off quite early on. elements like, the girl getting ‘gajar ka halwa’ for an uncle she is acquainted with, having a boss who’s harassing her at work, the brooding hero angle and of course jenny’s character being irritatingly chirpy are all done to death when it comes bollywood films. one of the most pathetic scenes in the film is where suraj beats up jenny’s boss for attempting to rape her and jenny is seen getting angry at suraj, her character says, ‘there is no place where a single girl is safe and a girl has to put up with such things to survive in a job’. believe me, that’s one of the most ridiculous things i’ve heard.

The Conjuring 2
(According to Satyajit Mallick The Conjuring 2 is a 4 star movie)
there’s even something in the mould of that creepy wind-up toy that was used in the conjuring; in this film, it is backed by recitations of the old english rhyme, ‘there was a crooked man’. don’t be surprised if, like the annabelle doll, the crooked man gets his own movie. though there’s a twist at the end concerning the identity of the demon, the film is bogged down by large unmemorable portions that hardly make you sit up. the conjuring may have gotten away with its over-reliance on jump scares, but the sequel gets exposed. it doesn’t take long before you realise that the film needed to be much more than just another case from the warren stable. but james wan’s inspiration from horror classics still shows. there are a lot of parallels to be drawn with the exorcist, especially. there’s a single mother, there’s a vulnerable daughter, there’s the evil spirit that talks in a baritone through the tender vocal chords of a girl, and at the end, there’s even a shattered window through which an exorcist falls. and all of this could have potentially worked, if only the film had released three years ago and been called the conjuring. in a sense, its predecessor is its villain.

Te3N
(According to Satyajit Mallick Te3N is a 4 star movie)
it’s edgy, gripping and dark, mostly because of the actors and partly due to the milieu. while nawazuddin brings a strangeness to the table, sabyasachi shows how to get noticed without ditching subtility. amitabh bachchan is the cohesive force behind this thriller. the director weaves a web of lies and psychological disorders, but he also attaches motives to his characters. though his choice of background music surprises at times, he compensates it with pace. his biggest success is the high degree of audience involvement in a 138-minute film.

Sultan
(According to Satyajit Mallick Sultan is a 4 star movie)
in sultan movie salman khan would play a 40-year old boxer. the film produced by yash raj films will be directed by ali abbas zafar and will fit in the typical masala entertainer space that salman has been famous for! however, its confirmed that the lead actress in the movie, will be playing the role of a negative character. salman khan, would play the role of a wrestler named sultan ali khan, and the leading actress, would also be a wrestler and share similar sporting tastes with the lead actor.

Housefull 3
(According to Satyajit Mallick Housefull 3 is a 4 star movie)
usefull 3 is best comedy film in recent year which results in film taking a bumper opening in the weekend. masses as well as classes go gaga over it surely.overdose of whatsapp jokes & those 3 irritating actresses are some times considered as negatives in the film. only saving grace would be the leading male actors. housefull 3 can be considered as a weakest sequel in this unnecessary franchise! but it appeals good in partial manner. made as a full paisa vasool comedy flick, akshaykumar steals the show all the way. the other actors also rocked proving that it si one of the best family movies for this summer. the dialogues of the film housefull 3 have few chuckles here and there but songs disappoint to the core. they literalls test our patience.

Sarbjit
(According to Satyajit Mallick Sarbjit is a 4 star movie)
i am watched this movie on today. the movie opens in the border village where sarbjit (randeep hooda) lives with his wife sukhpreet (richa chadha), two infant daughters and his widower father. dilraj (rai bachchan), who is deeply attached to her brother, has left her husband and eturned to her family (in real life, singh was part of a much larger brood). when sarbjit accidentally crosses the border in a drunken state and is jailed on charges of spying, dilraj swings into action. she bangs away at her sewing machine with determination, stomps through the corridors of power to persuade officials of her brother’s innocence, and delivers lectures on indo-pak peace on every possible occasion. sukhpreet, depicted as a diffident and docile woman, contributes to the general hysteria by fainting at opportune moments.

it is a wonderful movie. azharuddin is my one of the favourite player.emraan hashmi plays the shy mohammad azharuddin, the cricketer who is fascinated by fast money and the glittery world of cricket. he lives a lavish lifestyle, dressed to please; all his rolexes and bentleys in place. so when allegations of match-fixing taint the name of this hyderabad boy in 2000, azhar sees a fall from the public eye so hard that he doesn't know how to win back the respect of his country. the cricketer is banned from playing for india.

The Jungle Book
(According to Satyajit Mallick The Jungle Book is a 4 star movie)
when i was down and sad i just turn my attention to the book, it offer me a solace place where i can imagine myself as mowgli the frog and room the jungle freely without the burden of the world on my shoulders. the story revolve around a boy that was adopted by a family of wolf, the boy was forced to flee into the jungle and took shelter in the wolf’s dent because he was being hunted down by shere khan the tiger. the wolfs actually defended him from being eaten by the tiger, in the earlier part of mowgli childhood the wolf raise him as one of their own and shower him with love and passion without any prejudice at all. the second part of mowgli life begin when he was introduce to the wolf’s pack as a part initiation process, here is where shere khan took another swipe at mowgli’s life and threaten to gobble him up. here we were also introduced to the character of baloo the bear and the teacher of wolfs who speaks on behalf of mowgli when other wolfs tried to outcast him from the pack without baloo’s vote mowgli was for sure heading towards a different fate, a horrible fate i might add. there was also another important character that night that played an important role in mowgli’s earlier life, bagheera the black panther. we were told that baloo only vote was insufficient to save little mowgli life it took an offering of a freshly kill bull by bagheera that finally persuade the wolfs to make a u turn on their decision and finally accept mowgli as one of their own. baloo, bagheera and including the wolf couple later thought mowgli the way of the jungle and it’s laws and all this while shere khan the tiger was never ending in his quest of annihilating mowgli. shere khan the tiger associated himself with the young wolfs in the pack and poison their mind to see mowgli as an enemy and a treat to the wolf’s way of life. shere khan tried to portrait mowgli as a growing tumor that have to be eradicated in order to preserve the way of the jungle. shere khan was actually lacing his word with pretentious in order to hide his real motive of having the appetite for mowgli. mowgli in all of his innocent have to defend himself when the pack turn on him with the change of the leadership, when akela the leader of the pack can no longer defend himself. mowgli was actually prepared for the occasion where with the advice of bagheera he had kept by his side some burning fire to defend himself and the people close to him. mowgli actually succeeded in defending himself but was force out of his home the jungle because he can longer trust the wolfs. the story ended here for a while and continue in part two of mowgli’s life.
