the movie phillauari is very good movie. i like the story of film. the ghost anushka looking so cute and bful in this movie. story is not moderate but yes its simple going movie... daljit also have done good work in this movie and other co actress also have played good role. the starting of a movie is quite funny but in middle i found some slow flow in the movie. its a love story. movie added the jaliyanwalahan massacre in this movie. specially what i love in this movie i love the attire wearing by ghost anushka sharma and her twinklink star showering on her.. one more think i want to ask to director why you show twinklink star only on anushka and daljit while they met at jaliawalan bagh its quite not understand. its good to know that in early age people used to called tawa to recorder its truely seems like tawa.. :-) songs are good.. over all movie is good . one of the beautiful movie i have watched in recent years.it's an underrated movie, deserved better at box office.liked it very much.it was a good experience of me.anushka was very good so as diljit.the story is simple and predictable though.masses can't connect with this one as there is no maar dhaar action scenes.

anushka sharma and diljit dosanjh played very good roll in this movie.i liked it very much.the starting about punjabi wedding was very good where kanan and anu was marrying but the problem is that kanan is mangalik so the pandit says that he should marry with the tree but on the tree the ghost shashi lives and she comes with him by trazdy..anshai lal directed it very well.

nothing is scarier than falling in love and having the ghosts of your memories together haunt you. but kanan (suraj sharma) is experiencing a haunting of a more specific kind. he isn’t bothered by memories of a former lover, but by an actual ghost-in-love from another era.

a ‘desi munda’, living in kaneda, landing back in punjab for ‘kudmaai’ and ‘shaadi’. h is childhood sweetheart , who has been counting the hours to their nuptials . and a bewildered female ghost who fetches up just when the festivities get underway: these three characters make up phillauri’s opening act, which see-saws between being mildly amusing and enervating. phillaur is a rural outpost in punjab, where the ghost used to live nearly a century ago. as a comely human, of course. shashi (anushka sharma) is an obedient younger sister of a man who is a martinet. he keeps her under strict watch, unaware that she writes poetry, and is slowly being charmed by a local ‘gawaiyaa’ (diljit dosanjh) who is willing to mend his loutish ways for the love of a good woman.
when phillauri, which goes back and forth in time — the present is taken up by the reluctant groom (suraj sharma), the growing distress of the pretty bride (mehreen peerzada), and the constantly hovering ghost; the past gives us the love story of phillaur’s poet and singer — stays with dosanjh and his fumbling, kindling feelings for his phillauri, the film sparks to life. in the rest, it is slack.
