this movie is terrific! the comedy (about 3/4 of the film) is an absolute laugh riot. direction and performances of the entire cast is top-notch. screenplay is superb. dialogues are to die for!! i have never heard so many clever, witty lines combined into one film. liquid's monologues are always power-packed. the innocent character of the three gives a monologue filled with frustration building up over time--by far, the best performance and scene of the film! the annoying girlfriends also did a fantastic job. the incidents and events in the film are real slices of life. you must have heard it happening somewhere, if you haven't been through it yourself!

a well-intentioned comedy of errors, fashioned on the lines of priyadarshan’s hits, this film has a central narrator , an ageing parsi gentleman, pestonji( homi dotiwala) narrating his trysts with avaricious common folk, to a group of tv journalists assembled at his bungalow- which happens to be at the root of all his ills. the parsi gentleman is not cash rich but is in possession of an old bungalow property coveted by his best friend and the latter’s son (rushad rana). fed-up with their shenanigans to claim his property, he runs away and falls neatly into the hands of a trio desperately in need of money.

the story revolves around the faisal khan (hero) who’s name is jamaal and it has two shades that of positive and one is negative. later on, he felt love with the inayat sharma and her parents won’t accept the love as he was muslim. after ‘umrao jaan’, people will get to see muslim culture through this film. most of the shooting was shot in beautiful locations in kashmir and the youth will easily attract for love stories. the movie makers are also saying that this film is going to attract mainly youth in india. the film has shown the true urdu culture in every frame. dalip tahil is famous for his roles in talash, bhaag milka bhaag, ra.one and partner. he has done supporting role for the film. renzu shah penned the story of chinar daasatan e- ishq. screenplay was handled by moshin khan. music and background score was jointly composed by salim sen and siddique sen. recently, the album released in the market and got good response for it.

while it does not live up to its title as a package, it fulfils much of the expectations that the audience might have from a film produced jointly by karan johar on the one hand and vikramaditya motwane and anurag kashyap on the other. it brings together two different worlds and succeeds in striking a balance between the two. for that, and for much else, shaandaar deserves hearty ovation.

a beautiful aspect of talvar is the way meghna and vishal chose to weave sly wit into the intense narrative. meghna, who eturns to direction with talvar after a long gap of eight years, deals with it in a very witty manner and ensures the narrative is tense, yet the tension is understated. cdi officer ashwin kumar and noida police officer dhaniram (essayed by gajraj rao) are meghna’s weapons in this quest and she uses them deftly. with irrfan’s ever-effortless acting prowess and gajraj’s amazing performance, none of the jokes cracked at the cost of those involved in the murder case seem insensitive. vishal bhardwaj’s narrative is an insightful commentary on a voyeuristic media’s tendency to jump to instant conclusions and the prejudices and limitations of our judicial and investigating systems.

this one line theme was turned into a full-fledged melodrama back in the early 80s, in subhash ghai’s superhit film of the same name, in which jackie shroff and meenakshi seshadri had played the lovers from either side of the railway tracks. the overblown storyline and treatment matched the time it was made in: the yawning gap between the good-bad boy and the goody-goody girl, the winsome fit between jackie and meenakshi, and the nearly three hours of running time to make sure we rooted for young love as it battled parental disapproval and evil villains.

thomas knew what he thought. those images would never leave—the gladers would be haunted by the horrible things that had happened in the maze for the rest of their lives. he figured that most if not all of them would have major psychological problems. maybe even go completely nutso. and above it all, he had one image burned into his memories as strongly as a branded mark from a searing hot iron. his friend chuck, stabbed in the chest, bleeding, dying as thomas held him. thomas knew he would never forget that. but what he said to teresa was: it’ll go away. just takes a little time, that’s all. you’re so full of it, she said. i know. how ridiculous was it that he loved hearing her say something like that to him? that her sarcasm meant things were going to be okay? you’re an idiot, he told himself, then hoped she didn’t hear that thought.
